Sarah about to start a new school that's on a distant planet. She doesn't have any friends yet. Her teacher may or may not be a swamp creature. And worse, lunch looks like it's wriggling, slimy and alive! But just before the school bus arrives, Benny the Brave comes to the rescue! Benny the Brave reminds kids that they have the power to be BRAVE inside of them whenever they need it! Benny the Brave reminds Sarah that her worst-case fears are okay, and that she has the power to change these thoughts.

Max just graduated preschool and he's having a hard time leaving his preschool teachers, friends, and all that he knows behind.

Follow him as he says his goodbyes, centers himself and looks forward to starting something new - being a Kindergartner!

It's the first day of school! Join the kids as they prepare for kindergarten, packing school supplies, posing for pictures, and the hardest part of all—saying good-bye to Mom and Dad. But maybe it won't be so hard once they discover just how much fun kindergarten really is!

This engaging adaptation of “The Twelve Days of Christmas” convinces parents and children alike that there is no place cooler than a kindergarten classroom. On the first day of kindergarten, there’s so much to do! From making new friends to jumping rope in gym to riding the bus to school, there are lots of exciting firsts to look forward to. Even though saying good-bye to Mom and Dad is hard, when the school bus pulls up, it’s time to begin kindergarten fun.

Celebrate the big and small moments of first grade; ones that all young "scholars" will relate to—baby teeth that won't fall out, choosing the perfect library book, celebrating Pajama Day, and wrangling with the mysteries of spelling. From the first day of school to the last, this engaging anthology is essential reading for all soon-to-be first graders.

Bring to life the highlights of second grade—reading those big-kid books, trying out for the school play, and even dance breaks to wiggle "arms and legs and kaboodles. . . like a big bunch of second-grade noodles!" Covering an entire school year of holidays, memorable moments, and important life lessons, this is perfect for soon-to-be second graders! BONUS: Stickers are included!

Cora is a small mermaid with a BIG personality. But like so many mermaids in the third grade, she is struggling to truly be herself. She wants to be like the Singing Sirens, the most glamorous swim team in the sea. Unfortunately, an annoying road block (or should I say seablock) keeps getting in her way. When Cora fails her spelling test, her coach says she can't be on the team unless she gets an A on the next one! Can Cora conquer her spelling test, make the swim team, AND stay true to herself at the same time? If you have a mermaid fan at home, this is sure to be a fun read!

Read as these students gives tips and tricks for getting a teacher ready for the first day of school, and all the events and milestones that will follow (picture day, holiday concert, the 100th day of school, field day!). And along the way, children will see that by getting their teacher ready, they are really getting themselves ready. A fun read-a-loud to prepare for first day jitters, back-to-school readiness or end of year celebrations.

If you've been following along on my blog for awhile, you know I'm a Little Blue Truck fan! In this story, Little Blue Truck and his good friend, Toad, are excited to meet a bright yellow school bus on the road. They see all the little animals lined up in the school bus’s many windows, and Blue wishes he could be a school bus too, but when somebody misses the bus, it’s up to Blue to get his friend to school on time. I love this book if your child is feeling nervous about taking the school bus for the first time.

My daughter is a big Pigeon book fan so we love this one at my house! In this book Pigeon wonders why he has to go to school because he already knows everything! Pigeon worries about whether or not he will even like school. What if the teacher doesn't like him? What if he learns TOO MUCH!?! This is a silly book with a familiar character for some back-to-school giggles.

Dear Teacher is a hilarious collection of letters from a boy named Michael that he writes to his new teacher explaining why he can't go to class. From traveling to the pyramids of Egypt to getting attacked by pirates and going to the moon in a rocket ship, each letter is increasingly outlandish and covered with Michael's incredibly funny sketches from his many "adventures." When Michael's teacher writes back telling him how sorry she is he'll miss all of the exciting school activities planned for the year, Michael realizes all the fun he'd really miss out on.

Even the crayons are getting ready to go back to school! Each crayon has a subject they're looking forward to the most and they're also ready to meet new friends. . . and let loose during their very favorite time of day: art class! A humorous back-to-school story from everyone's favorite school supplies!

I hope you have a wonderful school year!!!

Believe in the magic of reading.
